About Me

      Hello, my name is Emily Childrey and I am a recent graduate of FullSail University. My interest in the arts started when I was around 6 years old, and my grandmother (Whom is an artist herself) would give me supplies like polymer clay, pencils, sketchbooks, and paints to play and experiment with. My interest and passion only grew as I watched countless cartoons, loved nearly every movie and animated show I saw, and began to develop my own characters and stories in my head and in my drawings. 

        Throughout school I would join in every art club and art based program, often submitting my work to school fairs and Highschool art competitions where i often won a ribbon or two with my traditional art and sculptures. During my senior year of Highschool, I even won a second place award for my TSA (technology Students Association) team in the graphic design portion of our state Competition and First place at our regional competition. Following graduation in 2012, I then went into looking at schools that had computer animation / animation based programs to study and found myself at Fullsail university. With my background in graphic art I have been able to do some freelance work of characters and designs for a small sum around the internet and for friends of mine as I studied at Fullsail.
While studying I learned a variety of programs and techniques to further my talents in the industry, and majored with a focus in Character modeling and creation. My life has been driven by art and by creativity, and I would be thrilled at any opportunity to grow my knowledge and expand my abilities.
